The nearest airport is DumDum, Kolkata, which is about 50 km from here.
Rail:
Chandannagar is 34 km from Howrah railway station in the Easetrn Railway.Local
trains which ply through the main line in the Eastern Railway e.g. Bandel
local, Bardhaman local and Katwa local have stoppage here. For persons coming
to Howrah from a distant place, may check the train number, avaialability
of seats/berths in the train and can also book their railway tickets on-line
from the website of Indian
Railway.
Road:
From Calcutta, one has to cross the Howrah bridge over the river Ganges
and avail the Grand Trunk Road to reach here. Also one can cross Vivekananda
Setu(Bridge) at Bally to avail the National Highway No.4( Delhi Road). Alternately
by crossing Kalyani Bridge, one can come here.
Ferry:
Chandannagar is connected to Jagaddal of North 24 Pargana District by Ferry
service which is available from 5:30 A.M. to 10 P.M.. During Jagadhatri
Puja, 24 hours service is available.
